Sunshine Seasons Review

September 13, 2012

Genie Mike takes us on an excellent review of the self sustaining Disney eatery that is the amazing Sunshine Seasons, take it away Mike….

Recently we visited Epcot and since we were a few weeks away from the F&W festival and we were all extremely hungry I decided we would either have lunch in the World Showcase or Sunshine Seasons food court depending on where we were when everyone got hungry for lunch. Turned out to be the food court would be more convenient so we headed to The Land pavilion and hopped on the Living with the Land ride (really enjoyed it – I think we missed it on our past two visits) and then hit the food court just before the usual lunch rush.

I have to admit I went into the food court half-enthused. The Land Pavilion is a bit out-dated and somewhat dark. The food court looks like a cafeteria. But I perked up quickly after perusing the menu photoboard – they have alot of interesting choices! My kids and brother selected the seared ahi tuna with the sesame noodle salad – they all loved it and it sported a generous portion of tuna.

Tuna goodness….

I was very happy with my grilled vegetable flatbread sandwich – filled with fresh slices of perfectly grilled eggplant, zuchini, peppers, and feta cheese – so, so good! My brother had the roasted beet (golden and red beets) and goat cheese salad – again, a very good size and very tasty.

Juicy veggie goodness…

They have a fanastic bakery too – tried the chocolate mousse cake and strawberry shortcake – so many selections and they all looked so good!

Chocolately goodness….

All the main meals were under $10 – so a great value when all is considered!  Very good value and very fresh food with creative twists.
